ITP Information and Resources
First-year students entering Lipscomb in fall 2009, including those transfer students with fewer thant 95 earned credit hours, will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the elementary use of computer application software and knowledge of basic computer concepts. The Information Technology Proficiency requirement must be completed during the first year of enrollment.
This requirement must be satisifed by successfully completing the ITP test during the first semester or IT 1000 during the second semester. Students who do not successfully complete the test on their first attempt must take it a second time during the first semester. Students who do not successfully complete the test on the second attempt during that first semester will be required to pass a non-credit course, IT 1000, which will be graded on a pass/fail basis. The course will be taken during the second semester here. If they do not attempt the test during the first semester, they likewise will be enrolled in the course second semester.
The test will be given at scheduled times during the first semester, beginning during QuestWeek. The course number for testing is IT 0010 and the various sections can be determined, including those during QuestWeek, by going to myLipscomb and then Class Schedule and checking the schedule for IT 0010. Test times, dates and location for the remainder of the semester will be available on this site.
